The South Coasts weather and climate is temperate, sub-tropical with good amounts of sunshine year round. The weather in KwaZulu-Natal varies between the coast and the mountains but on the whole the province enjoys hot and humid summers from October to April, with mild winters between May and September. The sea temperature hovers around 20°C, making it pleasant for swimming and diving.
Temperatures range from 16°-25°C during the winter months but can reach 32C with relatively high humidity in summer and an annual rainfall of 1009 mm peaking in January and February. The hottest and coldest months on the KZN South Coast are February and July with average temperatures around 28°C and 23°C respectively. January is the most humid month and July the driest.
